Freshfield delivered some great PR results to announce the merger between long standing accountancy client, Moore and Smalley, and North Lancashire firm, Lonsdales & Partners. Working alongside our in-house design and digital teams, Freshfield delivered a full marketing communications service to reveal the benefits of the merger to clients and contacts of both firms.

We amassed over 40 pieces of coverage in the north west business and accountancy trade press in April alone, as word spread that the amalgamation created one of the UK’s top 50 accountancy firms with a fee income of over £10 million. Since we started work with Moore and Smalley, the firm has doubled in size, highlighting the commercial benefits of long term investment into marketing communications.

Our media relations team created a national and international presence for patriotic client, David Haythornthwaite, as he gave all his 120 staff a day’s holiday for St George’s Day.

The campaign achieved coverage in more than 30 print titles over a 36 hour period. This included a full page story in the Daily Star, along with prominent mentions in The Sun, Daily Express, The Guardian and Daily Mirror.

Camera crews from Channel Five, the BBC and ITV visited Tangerine Group headquarters in Lytham, and Radio Lancashire interviewed David live on air on St George’s Day – from the hotel where he and his wife were also spending their tenth wedding anniversary! David is chairman of Freshfield international client, Tangerine Group.

We’ve just completed a marketing communications project for exclusive property development, The Hermitage Estate. We devised a brand, online presence and marketing collateral to help promote the Estate’s unique properties to the uber-rich.

The Hermitage Estate, situated on the River Lune offers its potential owners access to game fishing at the bottom of the garden, which in actual fact is spread across 11.5 acres of outstanding grounds.

The properties range from £700,000 and are fitted out to an extremely high specification and have been showcased in national publications; Country Life, The Field and the property supplement of The Sunday Times, generating a number of enquiries. www.hermitageestate.com
