AFC Freshfield made their long-awaited debut this evening in a thrilling tie with financial services client Taylor Patterson. After a closely fought first half in which both teams created chances, Taylor Patterson edged into the lead on the stroke of half time and added another early in the second half. AFC Freshfield hit back with a well-worked goal to set up a tense finale, but Taylor Patterson made their extra match practice count, twice hitting AFC Freshfield on the counter attack as they pushed for a deserved equaliser late in the game.
Johnson Cleaners, the UK’s number one dry cleaning company, slashed its new coat hanger orders by 12 per cent in just one month, saving tens of thousands of pounds, thanks to Freshfield’s successful ‘Hand Back Your Hangers’ campaign. Customers were urged to return their distinctive yellow hangers to their nearest store in a bid to reduce the huge number in circulation.
The media relations campaign, combined with creative photography and backing from the grandson of the inventor of the coat hanger, reached more than 1,340,000 people.
