AFC Freshfield ended their goal drought in style after scoring six goals in their latest outing – but still ended on the losing side after a determined second half display by opponents Yorkshire Bank.

Freshfield bossed the first half of the lively encounter at Tulketh Community Sports College and were 5-4 ahead at the break after some barnstorming play.

But their first game since last October saw ‘The Swallows’ run out of steam in the last 10 minutes and an opportunistic Yorkshire Bank side took full advantage going on to win the game 10-6 despite an impressive debut by Russ Leonard. Freshfield’s goals were scored by Andrew Taylor (3), Kieran Howlett, Michael Stanley and Simon Turner.

Our PR team has wrapped up a twelve month sector specific PR campaign for Process Instruments. The objectives were to help raise awareness of the niche Burnley-based manufacturer in key sector titles. Freshfield devised and implemented a media relations campaign focused on the water, chemical, paper and manufacturing industries to promote the benefits of using its water analysis instrumentation. At the end of the campaign we secured a total of 110 press articles and achieved over £30,000 worth of press coverage. Web site analytics showed that traffic had increased to Process Instruments’ website and more ‘quality’ enquiries were being made about its instrumentation and the benefits it could help companies in these sectors.
