Preston College

Freshfield achieved extensive media exposure for Preston College, one of the north west’s leading further education colleges, during A-level results week.

The team contacted key media in advance to build interest. On results day, a series of targeted press releases were distributed to key media and the team was on site by 5.30am to co-ordinate events. BBC Breakfast News broadcast from the college all morning, with students opening results and taking part in live interviews. Coverage culminated with a Lunchtime News interview and footage on the Six O’Clock News.

Positive coverage was secured in the news pages and results supplements of the key regional papers and a live student interview on BBC Radio Lancashire. The College featured on Radio 1 and Radio 4 news bulletins and four students interviewed live on Rock FM. The campaign generated approximately £400,346 in PR value.
