This digital project took us to a most fabulous piece of north west architecture – Wayfarers Arcade in Lord Street, Southport. Wayfarers’ new strap line – ‘traditional surroundings… contemporary style’ – is reflected in the new website. It’s modern, fresh and clean, with a layout that allows users to find relevant areas of the site quickly and easily. www.wayfarers-arcade.co.uk

A real heavyweight of the North West accountancy scene, we have worked with Pierce on several branding and PR projects throughout the years and were delighted to create its first ever annual review. We handled all aspects of the project – conceptual, artwork photography and copy. Personal viewpoints from all employees were showcased in the publication along with corporate messages from senior directors. This brought to life the strength and depth of the firm and the feedback from clients and intermediaries has been excellent. With a diverse range of stakeholders, strong external communication is fundamental for all professional firms.

We have developed a new CMS (content managed software) website for one of Lancashire’s most prestigious schools, Arnold School. The brief was to develop a simplistic but contemporary design that would reflect the school’s ethos and principles. The agency was also required to develop a CMS system to keep the website regularly updated, ensuring the school communicates its news and success to prospective students and parents. www.arnoldschool.com

Working with our creative teams, our PR team complemented this awareness campaign with a media relations push across the UK, particularly focusing on former coalfield areas. The three month campaign notched up a total of 56 items of press coverage, ranging from radio to regional daily newspapers and national and regional business magazines, resulting in over 1.6 million people reading about the Fund and why it had been set up. Media coverage generated by the campaign was valued in excess of £40,000. During the campaign, the Fund’s website also experienced an incremental increase in hits, averaging out at over 1,000 visits per month.

Freshfield has completed a marketing communications campaign for The Coalfield’s Enterprise Fund, which was launched by (the then) Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott in 1995. It is managed by venture capital business Enterprise Ventures (EV). The fund was specifically set up to encourage entrepreneurs to start new businesses, help established companies expand and assist in the long-term regeneration of and job creation in the former English coal mining areas. We devised a brochure, website and newsletter to promote the fund. www.coalfields-enterprise-fund.co.uk
