Freshfield has been shortlisted for two categories in this year’s Prolific North Awards alongside client Lancashire County Council for a marketing campaign to support Lancashire business owners through the coronavirus pandemic.

We have reached the final 10 entries in two categories, B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year and B2B Integrated Campaign of the Year, for our work with Lancashire County Council’s £6m Business Growth Hub, Boost.

Freshfield devised and ran #AskForHelp campaign which transformed the Growth Hub into a support service dedicated to helping worried business owners impacted by coronavirus.

The fully integrated campaign included repositioning Boost’s website to include a business advice hub and a multi-channel marketing campaign to encourage people to ring Boost’s support helpline and ask for help on issues surrounding finance, continuity and health and safety.

The #AskForHelp service has helped over 6,000 people. Freshfield also engaged with more than 300 of Boost’s partners to help them work with Boost to promote the campaign.

Freshfield’s managing director Simon Turner said: “We’re proud to have played a key role in #AskForHelp alongside Lancashire County Council and partners, a landmark campaign which has delivered a huge amount of support to the business owners of Lancashire in their time of need and is continuing to do so.

“Working with Lancashire County Council and a range of partners, we repositioned an entire Growth Hub from providing growth support to resilience support. A change of this scale can take months to achieve and was delivered in just four working days through constant communication and a willingness from everyone involved to support Lancashire.

“Through Boost and its partners, businesses in Lancashire have access to some brilliant business support. Quite often, business owners try and find their own answers but given the scale of the crisis, every business needed support and the Boost team has delivered a crucial service.

Andrew Leeming, programme manager, Boost, said; “It’s been an emotional journey for the entire business community. Our advice was simple: ask for help. Ring our helpline. Let us help and support your business through the unique challenges it is currently facing.

“This was a huge marketing challenge given the timescales and the Freshfield team delivered exceptional results.”

This year’s Prolific North Awards will be held virtually with an online ceremony on September 8.
