Lancashire-based care group Springhill has appointed Freshfield to manage an integrated programme of activity.

Springhill Care Group was founded more than 20 years ago by entrepreneur Ken Nolan. The growing business now runs three homes – in Accrington, Skelmersdale and Bristol – along with a supported living service, Affinity, and employs 300 staff.

Freshfield has been appointed to handle an integrated brief including media relations, community engagement, strategic advice and design work.

The appointment further enhances Freshfield’s credentials in the healthcare sector.

Ken Nolan, chairman of Springhill Care Group, said: “Freshfield understood our business plan and we felt their proposition was an ideal fit for the group as we look to expand the business. I look forward to working with the team.”

Paul Tustin, account director at Freshfield, said: “Springhill is a forward thinking business willing to embrace new thinking and some fresh ideas, and we are keen to help the group achieve its business objectives.”
