Freshfield has helped client, North West law firm, SAS Daniels LLP, scoop a top award at this year’s Northern Marketing Awards.

SAS Daniels was awarded the Professional & Financial Services Campaign of the Year accolade for its ‘Rooted in Cheshire’ initiative.

Freshfield advised and delivered on branding and marketing collateral for the campaign.

Following two years of successfully increasing market share throughout the North West, the marketing campaign was strategically crafted to demonstrate the firm’s on-going commitment to the areas closest to its offices in Stockport, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton.

The firm beat four other nominees to the title at the prestigious awards ceremony, hosted by Prolific North and held at The Point at Lancashire County Cricket Club. The event saw the single largest gathering of almost 300 leading marketers and agencies from across the North in 2013.

Rob Macfarlane, acting business development director at SAS Daniels, said: “It’s a real honour for us to be recognised in this way. Our top priority is, and has always been, to make people aware about how committed our lawyers are to their local areas and we wanted this campaign to highlight just how rooted they really are.”

Simon Turner, managing director of Freshfield, said: “The campaign was impressive in that it had clear objectives, great ideas and delivery, and tangible results, which would have impressed any judging panel. SAS Daniels has a very astute and savvy business development and marketing team and this award is just reward for its thinking. Likewise, the Freshfield team is proud to have played its part.”
