As the manufacturing sector recovers and thrives, focus in the industry is increasingly turning to effective marketing and business development as part of an overall growth strategy. The challenge for manufacturers is how to use the communications channels at their disposal to showcase their expertise and drive new business enquiries, both from within the UK and from overseas. This topic will be covered by manufacturing experts from Freshfield as part a series of events being held in the county next month.

Our presentation at HSBC on Thursday 5th June forms part of Lancashire Manufacturing Week (June 2-6) – a series of free events which will showcase inspiring success stories, strategic developments, business support opportunities and funding options available for the county’s manufacturing businesses:

Site visit at Precision Polymer Engineering, Blackburn

Tuesday 3rd June | 08:00 to 10:30

The first of two events will be held at the Blackburn-based headquarters of Precision Polymer Engineering, one of Lancashire’s biggest manufacturing success stories, on June 3. The event includes a tour of PPE’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and an insight into its world class processes, while other speakers include representatives from the county’s business growth hub Boost Business Lancashire, HSBC and The Manufacturing Institute.

Strategic manufacturing breakfast at HSBC, Fulwood, Preston

Thursday 5th June | 08:00 to 10:30

The second event takes place on June 5 at HSBC’s Preston-based business banking centre in Fulwood. Speakers at this event include experts from Freshfield, Moore and Smalley, EEF, MAS, and UCLan. This event will also hear from James Saunders, founder of Burnley-based 3D printing specialists FDM Digital Solutions, who will explore the opportunities the technology presents for the region’s manufacturers.
