As the recovery in the commercial property market continues, Freshfield’s brand management team has launched a new brand identity for Sheffield Investment Company’s new trading business, Sheffprop.

Sheffield Investment Company owns and manages a portfolio of commercial properties in the Yorkshire area, providing high quality office, retail and industrial accommodation.

The company adopted the new trading name to better reflect its service offering and chose Freshfield to create an identity that would resonate with its potential tenant customers, as well as commercial property owners, agents and investors.

Having been founded in 1918, Sheffield Investment Company wanted its history, wealth of knowledge, and reputation for service and reliability, to be reflected in the brand identity for Sheffprop.

The chosen identity was typographically executed using a traditional serif font to portray these established credentials.

It was kept fresh through the layout and alignment of font in relation to the strapline and logo mark. Purple and black colours were introduced to strengthen the core values of Sheffprop being an established brand and having a wealth of knowledge.

Freshfield has worked closely with the directors of Sheffield Investment Company, to help it introduce the Sheffprop brand across a full range of marketing collateral from stationery to online.

A spokesperson of Sheffield Investment Company said:
