Regeneration communications

Effective communication between communities, decisions makers, developers, professionals, funders, and others is vital to achieving placemaking ambitions.

Freshfield has a proven track record of working alongside local authorities, placemaking boards, and developers on managing the communications around significant town and city placemaking and regeneration projects.

Examples include our work with Preston City Council and Preston Partnership on the Harris Quarter Towns Fund Investment Programme, which aims to unlock £200m worth of regeneration projects in the city’s civic and cultural quarter.

We also helped UCLan manage PR and communications activity around its £200m masterplan project which included new campus buildings and the city’s first new public square in over 70 years. We also played a significant role in the regeneration of Preston’s Georgian-era Winckley Square Gardens which underwent a £1.2m restoration with Heritage Lottery Funding.
