V10 is a London-based affordable housing developer focused on delivering land and build projects for registered providers.
It specialises in acquiring suitable land and procuring the build contract to deliver fixed-price package deals to its housing sector clients – known as packaged deals.
Our brief
V10 turned to Freshfield to help it build greater engagement with registered providers, landowners, and contractors, as well as the wider property community.
In particular it wanted to show registered providers how its unique approach, including its focus on sustainability and modern methods of construction, set it apart from other affordable housing developers.
What we delivered
Our initial Fresh Eyes session helped to discover the personal and professional values of V10’s management team, as well as the transformative impact V10 has on people’s lives. We also discovered how the company’s new focus on sustainable building techniques was helping clients to embrace modern methods of construction.
The Fresh Eyes sessions ultimately led to a brand repositioning exercise in which we helped V10 create a new verbal identity that enabled audiences to better understand how it could help them. Together, we arrived at a new tagline – Creating Homes, Changing Lives – while a subtle change in the brand colour palette helped to reflect the social, environmental and economic impact V10 has on communities.
We then created a new website for V10 which helped its core audiences better understand the role the company plays in developing new affordable homes.
Impact
The new identity was launched to coincide with V10’s attendance at the annual CIH Housing conference in Brighton. Since it went live, we have also helped V10 to continue to connect with audiences through an ongoing content marketing campaign, keeping audiences updated with project news and thought leadership content.
As a result of this work, V10 has reported greater engagement with registered providers in the housing arena and more land opportunities coming its way.
