Freshfield wins SMD and Lakeside briefs

Freshfield, the Preston-based marketing communications consultancy, has been selected to run regional and national campaigns for two new clients.

The Winckley Square firm has been appointed by the worldwide SMD Group, and the Lakeside Hotel and Spa, Lake Windermere (pictured).

For the worldwide SMD Group, headquartered in Preston, Freshfield is providing a UK-wide programme of integrated communications including national trade media relations, social media, event support and product placement in support of the newly-launched iLiv brand of interior design homeware.

Lakeside Hotel and Spa, Lake Windermere, has tasked Freshfield with a media relations and social media brief to drive regional and national customer enquiries focusing in its spa and wedding offering.

Emma Rawlinson, Freshfield PR and social media consultant, said: “We’ve worked hard and invested heavily in developing a seamless communications model and we can see in iLiv and Lakeside, good examples of the success that can be achieved through integrated work.

“After just two months, wedding enquiries at Lakeside have quadrupled and visitors to the website have increased as a direct result of the campaign.”
