A trusted PR and communications partner to Lancashire businesses

From offices in Winckley Square, Preston, we have worked with market-leading businesses and institutions for more than two decades, building trusted, long-term partnerships across a wide range of sectors.

Our Preston office opened in 2001 and since then we have advised organisations operating in financial services, manufacturing, professional services, property and regeneration and the public sector.

Our client experience includes AFD Systems, Breck Homes, Harrison Drury Solicitors, Lancashire County Council, MHA (formerly Moore and Smalley), North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, PWA Planning and the University of Lancashire.

A specialist PR and communications partner

Our Lancashire-based PR and communications team includes experienced communications consultants, former business journalists and digital PR experts, working together to help organisations use communications as a strategic driver of growth, reputation and long-term value.

We take a strategic approach, designing clear and effective communications strategies aligned to business objectives. Our work spans growing businesses and brand-building PR campaigns, delivering communications that help businesses stand out, build relationships and scale sustainably.

With former business journalists in our team, we have trusted relationships with regional, sector and national journalists, enabling us to secure consistent, targeted coverage with real impact. We also provide specialist support on M&A Communications, helping clients communicate clearly and confidently during complex and high-stakes transactions.

Beyond this, we support Lancashire organisations with ESG communications that stand up to scrutiny, employee communications through periods of growth and change, and expert crisis and issues management to protect reputation when it matters the most.

In the heart of the Lancashire community

Our senior team plays an active role in the Lancashire community through a range of voluntary and non-executive positions.

Our CEO, Simon Turner, is a co-founder of Winckley Square Community Interest Company, which led the successful £1m campaign to restore Preston’s Winckley Square Gardens. He is also a board member of Preston Partnership and a trustee of local charity, Foxton, as well as New Longton Sports and Social Club.

PR and Communications Director, Andrew Taylor, sits on the committee of the Lancashire branch of the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE) and is a board member of Cuerden Valley Park Trust, the charitable organisation that oversees the running of the 650-acre park based in central Lancashire.

Freshfield is an active member of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, while also supporting a number of other Lancashire charities and community groups across the year.
