Chief Executive & Group Client Director at Freshfield

Freshfield has appointed Mark Brennan as its first business development manager.

Mark joins from top 100 UK law firm Keoghs LLP where he spent four years, latterly as market development manager. Previously, Mark worked within the business development team at Moore and Smalley Chartered Accountants.

His new role will focus on helping grow the business but looking to increase Freshfield’s footprint in core target sectors while establishing a formal client care programme.

Freshfield managing director, Simon Turner, said: “As we mature as a business it is important we have focus on the key areas of our business. Looking after our current clients and winning new ones will be the core of our future success and Mark will give a consistent, measured and quality approach.

“His experience of managing business development and marketing programmes for leading UK professional services brands makes him an invaluable resource. In addition, as a previous consumer of PR, branding and digital services Mark offers us a client’s perspective.

“Freshfield has continued its growth during these recessionary years by sheer hard work while investing in our people and skills. We can therefore offer clients a holistic communications service, helping them in these challenging times.”

Mark added: “I’ve seen first-hand Freshfield’s dedication to client service and delivering excellent results. I’m joining the business at a pivotal point in its development and looking forward to playing a key role in its growth. The economy is tough but there are still opportunities for ambitious and sustainable businesses.”

With headquarters in Winckley Square, Preston, Freshfield is Lancashire’s only member of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA). It specialises in strategic communications, PR, digital PR, branding and design, and digital development.
